Communities that Work Members

Communities that Work’s membership reaches across all regions in England.  See where our members operate.

Apna Ghar (‘our home’ in Hindi) was founded in 1979 by a group of disabled people. Their aim was to respond to an urgent need for housing and support shared by many disabled people, but particularly by those with Asian backgrounds.

We house families from all backgrounds. Apna Ghar currently works in the London boroughs of Brent, Ealing, Harrow, Islington, Haringey, Hackney and Newham.

We manage 300 properties and aim to increase this number in the future years.
