The Octavia Foundation was set up by Octavia who look after 4,4000 homes in central London. The foundation connects people affected by unemployment, ill health, social isolation or low incomes in central and west London with opportunities for positive personal change.
Each year, they support hundreds of local people with training and employment advice through workshops, drop-in sessions, one-to-one support, volunteering opportunities, work placements and apprenticeships.
An example is their Learn2Earn project: a 12 week employability and volunteer programme devised to help residents of Kensington and Chelsea, Westminster, and Hammersmith and Fulham who are finding it difficult to access employment and volunteering opportunities.
